Fernanda Lira is married to bassist Juninho of RDP. The band changes band members like it’s nobody’s business. Joining her in the group are vocalist Diva Satanica ( BLOODHUNTER ),bassist Mia Wallace ( ABBATH, TRIUMPH OF DEATH ),and drummer Eleni Nota ( MASK OF PROSPERO, CROQUE MADAME ). Before, you’d need lab work, and medical imaging, to detect brain changes this takes time, it’s expensive, and nobody gets tested this early on, says Eleni Stroulia, a professor in the Department of Computing Science who was involved in creating the model. The band had newer members lined up to enter the studio. Diva Satanica had left after giving the band several months’ notice. Nanu had joined in September 2022 replacing Eleni Nota who had left for health reasons. The band was due to enter the studio that month. Nervosa’s new drummer Nanu Villalba was already out of the band, “due to lack of common agreement” as of January 2023.
Destruction, Nervosa, Sunlord and VX36ill were to tour Canada and the USA in April and May 2022. The band announced a European tour for 2022 with Systemhouse33 and Warbringer. Nervosa issued Perpetual Chaos through Napalm Records in January. While in NERVOSA, she recorded the drums for the critical. The album was to be played in its entirety. Amorphis wanted to commemorate its 1994 album Tales From The Thousand Lakes on a Canadian tour in September 2020. Opening would be Flotsam And Jetsam, Sweden’s Enforcer and Nervosa. Destruction would tour Europe in the autumn of 2016. Canadian death thrashers Mortor was on the stage alongside Brazil’s Nervosa on August 3rd 2016. Brazil’s all-girl band Nervosa had a 2016 album called Agony, which was released on June 4th through Napalm Records. The band was at The Foundation studio in Ashland, Oregon and Norcal Studio with producer Brendan Duffey. in the winter of 2016 recording its second album. Brazil’s Nervosa released its debut album, Victim Of Yourself, on March 11th 2014 in North America through Napalm Records. The band is comprised of thrash metal, piercings, nose rings, a ton of make-up and of course tattoos. So in preparation for Chaos to be released on the world, bassist Mia Wallace took a moment to talk to us about the things that women still have to fight for in metal, and obstacles which women around the world must continue to overcome.HistoryThis Sao Paulo-based band was founded in February 2010 by Amaral and issued a demo two years later. But the band don’t see it that way - for them, the struggles of being women in today’s world, and especially in the metal scene, are much of what inspires their sonic wrath. Originally formed in Brazil, all-female Thrash Metal band Nervosa currently has Diva Satanica (Spain) on vocals, Mia Wallace (Italy) on bass, Eleni Nota. This far into their career, and with such a savage album in the chamber, one could say that Nervosa being an all-female act is incidental. Lean, determined, and hostile from the first chord on, the album makes clear that this band aren’t interested in making music for everyone. But while previous albums have paved the way for the band’s steady rise, this year’s Perpetual Chaos - featuring a revitalized line-up of founding guitarist Prika Amaral alongside new members Diva Satanica on vocals, Mia Wallace on bass and Eleni Nota on drums - takes things to a new level. Since 2012, the Brazilian band have made the kind of acid-burn thrash which instantly culls a fanbase of fairweather listeners and retro trendseekers, leaving only those here for ruthless madness. To understand Nervosa‘s struggle, one only has to listen to their music.
